Divisional Lingo

 

  • Challenger – Beginner level
  • Elite – Highest level of competition for amateur (National Qualifying)
  • Teen –19 years of age or younger
  • Master –35 years of age or older (10 year breaks)
  • Transformation – Loss of minimum 20 lbs. – before and after pics required
  • Tested

No Experience is necessary.  We welcome all beginners.

This division is dedicated to the man with a small waist, sprawling thighs, and a wide back. This “classic” physique is known for being balanced, conditioned, and aesthetic, while maintaining proportion without being overly muscular.

This athlete has chiseled his body from top to bottom focusing on chest, shoulders, v-taper, abs and legs. This athletic physique is also balanced, conditioned, aesthetic, proportioned and functionally fit.

Figure

Figure – Look


This division is dedicated to the “athlete” in every woman. She enjoys training to sculpt a feminine physique with smart muscle, a tight waist, and an hour glass shape that is referred to as “shoulder to waist ratio”. Other features include a defined glute ham tie-in, rounded or “capped shoulders” and quad sweep.

This division is dedicated to the athletic woman who has the genetics and/or longevity training to look super fit in a bikini. Her abs are etched out and her muscles are separated, revealing very appealing lines. This bikini athlete is able to achieve a high level of conditioning while maintaining a very feminine and shapely silhouette.

Transformation

Transformation – Criteria


The Transformation division is always one of the most inspiring in the NSL. These contestants share their stories and reveal their transformation live on stage. This is an amazing platform for contestants to nspire the crowd and the world with their transformation!

Criteria

  • Weight loss can be anywhere from 20 pounds minimum to over 100 plus pounds
  • Transformations can be anywhere from 3 months minimum to 5 years back 
  • Must submit personal story essay and weight loss transformation before/after pictures
  • Fat Loss 
  • Conditioning
  • Muscle Tone/Definition/Shape
  • Posing & Presentation: Contestants will present themselves on stage at the NSL live show with a 20-30 sec posing presentation of choice (*similar to bikini beach or men’s physique posing presentation and overall stage presence.)

Transformation Rules, Judging & Attire



Contestants can register online or in person at the event and must submit a typed 300 word or less write up an essay about  their  personal story.  This write up can be pasted into the registration with your profile during your online registration, along with a memory stick with high resolution photo  of  the contestants  before picture.

Photos must be uploaded in jpg form to your NSL BodySquid account or sent to audrey@nspiresl.com with the name and date of the event you are competing in. You will also need to provide a typed/ printed copy at the official athlete registration the evening before the contest.

Judges will read stories and review “before photos” of all contestants prior to the event.

To clarify you will be handing in a copy online and also a hard paper typed copy of story and pictures and/or memory stick with all documents upon registration the day before the show to ensure we have your pictures and essay.

**Contestants must bring a printed copy of their personal story at registration including their total weight loss and also a memory stick with your before photos on it.

Judging: 

Entries in the Transformation category will be judged by a panel of NSL-Nspire Sports League judges. Judging will be based on these overall categories

  • Overall weight loss as shown in before and after photos
  • Essay
  • Stage presentation (please see Transformation Criteria)
Live NSL event:

Contestants will be presented live on stage where the final result of their transformation will be revealed and a winner will be chosen.

Attire
Contestants will present themselves on stage in any swimwear or workout attire of personal choice

  • Females– A 2 piece or one piece personal choice – any suit that compliments the contestant and is classy. Shoes worn must also complement the contestants outfit.  3-5 inch heels preferred. **Tshirts or tank tops can be worn at the discretion of the contestant
  • Males— swim shorts/board shorts or square cut shorts with bare feet, sandals, or sport shoes that also fit the attire.  **Tshirts or tank tops can be worn at the discretion of the contestant

Contestant &Winner Affidavit and Release. Winners and contestants will be required to provide before and after photographs to Nspire Sports League to be used for promotional and marketing purposes. Winners and contestants may be required to provide valid photo identification featuring his or her name and address as it appeared on the entry supplied, provide proof of proper age and residency, and sign an affidavit of eligibility and release supplied by Nspire Sports League which, among other disclaimers: (a) releases Nspire Sports League  and its range of subsidiaries, directors, agents, agencies, affiliates, promoters, officers, directors, employees and related persons (“NSL” or “Nspire Sports League”) from any and all liability and (b) grants Nspire Sports League the right to publish the winner’s name, city/state, photograph(s), voice, testimonial, approved biographical information, or other likeness and/or information or personal exposition (and/or any edited portion thereof) for promotional, advertising and/or publicity purposes in any media, now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without compensation or notice to, or further consent of, the winner to the extent permitted by law.

Assumption of Risk, Waiver of Liability, and Indemnification. You acknowledge that there are risks associated with your participation in the contest and you agree that the terms of your General Terms Agreement by registration apply to your participation, including but not limited to the Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, and Indemnification provisions. By entering the contest, each participant agrees to follow these Official Rules and to release, discharge, and hold harmless Nspire Sports League, and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and agents, together with the present and future officers, agents, employees and representatives of each of them, from any and all responsibility or liability whatsoever for any property loss, damage, personal injury, or death, in connection with the  any person’s participation in the contest.
